Grrr.

I found this story, via Dress a Day, about Macy's inability to get the signage right at Marshall Field's State Street.

As if it weren't bad enough already. Hey, Macy's! Take your asses back home to Seventh STREET and 34th AVENUE!!!!

May I remind you, that unlike Marshall Fields, Macy's will produce the beloved Frango in you hometown? Does that help even a little?

Jeez.
I guess someone woke up on the wrong side of her full-size split box spring bed.

With Carson's closing, I don't see the Loop store lasting very long after Macy's slimes into town. But, Chicagoans will not go quietly this time. Check out this article in The Trib http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/chi-0609050029sep05,1,718293.story?ctrack=1&cset=true

I was so hoping they would leave the State St. store alone - - it's a sad, sad day when there are no Marshall Field's in Chicago....

I read that article on Dress a Day, too, and thought of you (and your ensuing outrage). I remember your last article about the Macy's anouncement. ;)

I went to Fields this weekend for some back-to-school shopping. The register lady was all "be sure to come back next weekend for our Macy's grand opening!" And I was all "no, I'll be staying home mourning the death of Field's." I don't think she understood.
