Something's in the water.

Does anyone see any similarities between this craze and this one? Just sayin.

Oh, I see it 100%. At first I was like "I hate crochet! [sorry, crocheters] So why do I adore these blankets?" And then I realized, oh right, it's because they got their peanut butter in our chocolate. Or vice versa.

OMG! I have that EXACT afghan in those EXACT colors! And I bet my Grandma made it around 1979, too! I still have it, although it's been felted down a bit over the years.

It's definitely a craze, and I'm just trying to hold back, but really, I just want to jump on in. I even picked up some crochet hooks the other day though I have no idea how its done; and the chevron scarf, I nearly cast on last night, in fact.

Look at me with my apostrophe error. Just when I lecture students about the difference between "its" and "it's," then I go and mess it all up. That'll "learn" me not to think I never make mistakes!

Absolutely! There is something really compelling about patterns that ripple ... knit or crochet. That Koigu I posted on my blog? For the Chevron Scarf.
